Terms of Service

Craftex is a marketplace where real estate developers publish construction tenders and contractors and subcontractors submit bids. We provide the platform, matching, messaging, ratings and moderation. We are not a party to any contract you sign, and we are not a contractor, broker, agent, insurer or guarantor.

You must provide accurate company information and keep it current. One account per company representative; credentials are personal and must not be shared. You are responsible for all activity under your account and must notify us immediately of unauthorised access.

New accounts may be reviewed before full access is granted. We may refuse, suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms or misrepresents a business.

A verification badge means our team reviewed the company details and documents submitted at that time. It is not a warranty of quality, licensing status, insurance, solvency or performance. Each party remains responsible for its own due diligence before entering a contract.

Developers are responsible for the accuracy of tender scope, budgets, deadlines and attachments. Contractors are responsible for the accuracy of their bids, pricing and timelines.

A bid submitted through the platform is an offer to the developer on the terms stated in it. Awarding a tender on Craftex records the developer's selection; the binding contract is the one the parties sign between themselves, offline or otherwise.

Users must not solicit other users off-platform in order to avoid subscription obligations, spam bidders, or publish tenders they do not intend to award.

Developers use the platform free of charge. Contractor plans are billed monthly or annually in advance through our online reseller Paddle.com, the Merchant of Record for all our orders, at the prices shown on the pricing page. Free accounts are limited to three bids per rolling 30 days.

Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel or pause at any time from your account page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and the account reverts to the free tier. Fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law.

We never charge a commission on project value. We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice, effective at your next renewal.

You keep ownership of the content you upload — profiles, portfolios, tender documents, drawings, bids and reviews. You grant Craftex a non-exclusive licence to host, store, display and transmit that content solely to operate the platform and to show your public profile information in the directory and search results.

You confirm you have the rights to everything you upload and that it does not infringe third-party rights or disclose confidential information you are not permitted to share.

Reviews must be based on genuine, completed engagements and describe your own experience. Fake, incentivised, retaliatory or defamatory reviews may be removed and can result in suspension. We do not edit reviews to favour paying subscribers.

Do not misrepresent your identity, licences or capabilities; scrape or bulk-export platform data; attempt to access records you are not party to; upload malware; harass other users; discriminate unlawfully in tender decisions; or use the platform for anything illegal.

We may review reported content, remove listings, cancel tenders, revoke badges and suspend accounts. Where a dispute arises between users we may review the evidence held on the platform, but our decisions are administrative only and do not resolve the parties' legal rights against each other.

We aim for continuous availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may carry out maintenance, change features or discontinue parts of the platform, giving reasonable notice for material changes affecting paid plans.

The platform is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law we exclude implied warranties and are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, or losses arising from contracts, work or payments between users. Our total liability in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid us in that period, or USD 100 if you paid nothing.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

You may close your account at any time. We may terminate or suspend access for a material breach of these terms, with notice where practicable. Sections that by nature survive — content licence for already-published reviews, liability, and governing law — continue after termination.

We may update these terms and will notify account holders of material changes before they take effect. Continued use after that date means you accept the updated terms. Questions: hello@craftex.com.
